This is the perfect jacket for the shoulder seasons in MT. May, June, October, November. It’s waterproof, insulated enough for 30 degree wet days and is light weight. We always have one of these for my daughter every year since 3 years old and she’s almost 7 now.

Great coat!! My boys have had a warm storm jacket every year- perfect winter coat in Ohio. Warm fleece inside, waterproof exterior. Holds up so well. My 6 yr old used his last one for 2 yrs and it still looks brand new- too bad he outgrew it! Reason for the 1 star: I ordered it in black, size medium- it arrived and it is a girls coat. The tag on the neck of the coat and the store tag both say girls coat, and it is cinched around the waist- making it obviously a girls coat. This was not noted on the Zappos website. I obviously returned it and bought a boys version of the coat from REI.
