Barbara –
I returned them because they run a full size too small. I haven’t re-ordered a larger size. I’ve had three pair of TNF shoes in the same size in the past, all great.

These shoes are not worth the money. I have previously purchased two pairs of North Face shoes and was very pleased with them. Those styles have been discontinued (of course) so I opted for a more expensive pair. I like North Face because I have arthritis in my toes and my previous shoes were extremely comfortable. These, however, make my toes worse. Very uncomfortable. Also, the shoelaces come untied alot. They never came untied on previous pair. Very disappointed!!

I have been really happy with these shoes! I have the Vectiv Taravals (which I also love) and these are a similar fit but stiffer – which makes them great for hiking. I walked through a creek with them yesterday and the waterproofing is awesome. And the strong, grippy tread was perfect for the rocky hike we went on.

These hiking shoes did great on moderate trails with lots of hard roots, rocks, and muddy/slippery conditions. They had great grip and I was really impressed. I did have to replace the insoles for ones with more cushion (which I normally do anyways to increase comfort). And my feet did hurt at the end of longer more challenging trails (the consequence of not hiking or wearing closed toed shoes for awhile) but there were no blisters. Overall very satisfied with the look, comfort, and weight of these shoes.

Really waterproof and comfortable

I sent them back due to them being too large and never got a refund. It was a seemingly easy process that I did two weeks ago, with the label they sent, original boxes and trip to the post office. The only problem is I don’t have a refund or even store credit!

I take one long hiking trip a year and multiple shorter hikes/walks each week in local parks and state parks. I bought these shoes about a month before a week-long trip to NM. I broke them in and then wore them on the trip. At first they felt great and I was as pleased with them as I was with the pair I purchased in 2019. However, on the trip and in the weeks following my trip, I noticed that my feet were hurting. I was developing a bunion on one foot and I couldn’t figure out what was causing it. I attributed it to increased walking or wearing normal shoes again (post covid work wear). I also noticed that the waterproofing seal was starting to come apart a tiny bit on one shoe and the fabric was also developing holes at the heels. This is when I went back to the store and found out there was a limited 1 year warranty. The waterproof seal and holes were fixed. However, in the weeks they were away being fixed, I reverted back to wearing my old hiking shoes and my bunion/foot ache went completely away. The red inflamed area on that foot/toe bone was gone and I didn’t have foot pain after hiking. I compared the design on this shoe to my old ones and realized the toe box/plastic seaming around the laces is a completely different shape and it’s the shape and the inflexible hard plastic seaming that was causing inflammation on my bone. So, although I have a new pair of hiking shoes back, I won’t be wearing them again. I wish they’d bring back the design of the 2019 shoes.

They are just perfect !

Great shoe, fit, warmth and movement,I purchased too big and had to return, but they are really nice.

I got these shoes in preparation for Florida summer rainy season. The shoes are extremely comfortable, but they make my feet very warm and it’s only in the low 70s. They may handle the rain but I don’t how if they’ll be wearable in 90 degree temperatures.

I have severe arthritis in my ankle and limited ROM and these really help and allow me to walk further than other shoes!

I use these for almost everything. Walking, gym cardio, and of course hiking. They are indeed waterproof — feet stayed dry and warm during hikes in snowy in New Mexico mountains. I purchased another pair for next winter’s adventures. I won’t be wearing these during the hot TX summer as they keep the toes rather toasty as they are well padded. (The tongue is a bit too padded in my opinion.)
I usually wear a size 8.5 but took advice of others and went to a 9.

Shoes are worn to school on a daily basis, walking, & hiking.
Purchased 0.5 size larger due to on-line feedback.

These shoes are the best fitting and most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased!
Barbara –
These are fantastic hiking shoes – lightweight, great traction, roomy toe box for comfort on long hikes. They accommodate my orthotics well. I hope that TNF keeps this model for many years to come.

Ugly.

After only two months tape seam started to come apart, and after only 1 year of wearing shoes hiking the soles has worn out enough that thread is not grilling on trails anymore & have to purchase new hiking shoes, will try Salomon’s this next time. I believe shoes should last more than just one year (I only wear these shoes in summer and fall when I can hike) for a show that is almost $200 durability and its quality should last more than this, as well as for environment & having to dispose shoes within a year. It’s unfortunate I would expect better quality from NF.

I got these to replace a similar model of North Face waterproof hiking shoes that I loved for hiking, walking in rainy Seattle, and travel. Unfortunately, after a ton of use over the last four years, they needed replacing. I’m hoping that these will serve me as well for an upcoming hiking trip in the Slovenian Alps. So far they’ve been great in training hikes.

These were perfect in look and feel. Usually wear 8.5 or 9. 1st tried them in a 9, fit nice but feet were sliding. Exchange for 8.5 which were perfect. After wearing a couple hours the tops of my feet would be hurting, within an hour of puting them on
