Because TNF coats usually fit snug I got this coat in a L and its a bit big on my 5’7″ 148 lb. frame. Reordered in a M which should fit perfectly if the size chart is true. I bought this in the taupe/green which is a really nice neutral that goes w/ everything. It is an adorable jacket, lightweight but dense & warm for January on the Monterey Peninsula.

I am 125 lbs and 5’1 and this jacket fits perfectly in size small, leaving room for movement. Very comfortable.

This jacket is “middle school girl approved”. It’s not bulky so it can be worn around school all day for kids who refuse to use their locker. My daughter loves it and says it’s “cool” enough to wear on days when the temps are in the 20’s and she’d otherwise not wear a coat at all! It’s just the right length and passed the “cool” test. it is not form fitting, so it can be worn with the typical middle school oversized sweatshirt uniform and not be too tight. I debated between an XS or a SM for my daughter who is thin and curvy, 5’4 and 115lbs. Went with a small and she says it’s absolutely perfect all around. I would wear this jacket. I personally love the shape and how it curves down in the back. It is lightweight for layering. Not the typical coat you’d wear to keep warm in while in the snow but perfect for running errands or a walk.

Nice, stylish, and lightweight. I was looking for a warmer coat, so I returned this, but it would be perfect as a windbreaker or for those slight chilly days in the fall.

I really like this jacket, there is enough room for a sweater if needed. I wore it for the first time walking my dogs on a very windy cold day and it kept me warm. I ordered the Monterey blue which upon arrival looks more navy blue than the Monterey blue color depicted The North Face website. I like the color shown on the website better but I like the jacket and you can’t go wrong with a navy blue.

Definitely more of a lighter jacket than a coat. Exactly what I wanted though! Perfect shorter – sporty torso length, longer sleeves, and looser fit.
I wanted it a bit more fitted. Tried XS and S. Small was too big around my stomach. Kept the XS which fits great.
Reference: 5’5, 125#, 34 A/B chest.

Just a correction to my previous review on the color, I would say the color is pretty close the color in the photo on the website. I previously reviewed that I though the color was more navy blue, but after actually wearing it more the color is beautiful and not closer to a navy blue. I’ve received compliments on the jacket and the color.

Loved this coat when I received it. I’m 5′ 7″, 148 and I got the large which was roomy on me…tried on the M which felt too small. Really cute coat, but even when I first got it I thought it might stain easily…I got the wonderful green color, unfortunately it is matte, which looks really good but shows every stain & sure enough, 10 weeks after wearing, I somehow stained the front of it (Of Course!) and it wouldn’t come out and of it showed up something awful on the matte material. Threw the coat out and got a patagonia!

So the jacket arrived today , and I loved the color and the feel of the fabric . but it was a bit too roomy for my liking . So I’m returning it and going down a size . Also the sleeves were long but it’s tolerable . Overall nice jack just a bit big and I usually go for 3xl bit this time 2xl would be best .
