I needed a pair of water proof and cold weather shoes for a trip to Whistler, BC. This is perfect! I love the fact that its a slip on because i hate lacing up boots. Lace up boots just takes too long to put on and take off when all you want to do is go for a quick walk, for dinner and go back to your room. The best feature that i didn’t even know came with these boots are the ledges on rear of boots which allows you to just kick off your shoes in seconds!

Wore once-lining became slightly damp. Attempted for 45 minutes to remove-no luck. Had to slice boots to sole to remove. Contacted NF-no answer. Loyal customer for approx. 30 years no previous problem. DO NOT BUY!!

These were my favorite boots. Super comfortable. I live in Texas, so they don’t get a whole lot of use, probably 7-10 days a year.
They’ve worked great the past 5 years I’ve owned them, but this year the lower rubber/plastic “shattered” into pieces, essentially deteriorating around my feet. Look online, and you will see numerous customers with similar complaints/issues.
Unfortunately, TNF considers this to be normal wear and tear. So just be aware, that these things have a shelf life, and that they conveniently fall outside of the famous North Face lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects.

I use these for quick outings to use the snowblower and do chores around the house. I also own a north face boots with a liner boot and laces. They take some time out on and take off and can be annoying for quick jobs. These chillkats fill the gap where I need to stay warm and dry but don’t need the sealed ultra warm boots that require so much extra time. These take five seconds to put on and provide 90% of the functionality of the laced boots. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I normally take a size 12EE, I read that these run small so I got a 1/2 size larger; the width is fine but my toes are a little pinched so I think I would have ordered a full size larger. They are easy to pull on and off though, and have been warm at 20 degrees with a pair of socks of average thickness.

My husband LOVES these boots! So quick to pull on and there is a “shelf” on the outside of back heel to step on for easy exit from the boots. He is normally a size 8. Zappos recommended size 8.5 BUT the 9.0 fit him perfect (with room for warm socks) so I was glad I ordered both the 8,5 and the 9 to try on. Great quality and price.

I was a little concern that a slip on winter boots might easily slip off. Not these. This is a quality pair of boots; sturdy and well made. So far this winter, with a nice pair of merino wool socks and these boots, my feet have not complained about being cold. And, of course, delivered quickly and as promised, with free returns, just like all Zappos shoes.

These run small order up a 1/2 size and a whole size for wide feet!! – Once I got the correct size, they fit well. They need to stretch out in the toes at first, but once they did, they are very comfortable. So far they do well in above 0° F but not in snow much deeper than 6 – 8 inches. The rubber bottom makes them great for slushy conditions. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, but are a little clumsy much like any other pull on boot. Very easy to put on and take off – perfect for quick runs outside to the wood pile in the cold. I would buy them again.

I ordered these for easy on and off for taking a new puppy outside during Minnesota winter and so far they are wonderful.
I bought a half size bigger and that seems to be perfect as I’m not wearing big thick socks with them otherwise I might go up another half size.
They are super easy to get on and off and they are shockingly comfortable. It’s my favorite part of being up at 3:30 am to take a dog outside.

I ordered these a size larger based on the reviews I read and almost returned them. They felt too loose in the upper section, but they fit well in the footbed. Glad I kept them. They’ve become my all-purpose boot for walking the dog and hiking around the 40 acres of forest I have here. I get great traction in them and they’re really easy to pull on and off, which is primarily what I was after.
